Edith Faye (Slone) Morris, 94, passed away peacefully Monday, April 15 at her residence. Edith Faye Frederick was born in Iuka, Mississippi January 26, 1925 to William Penn Frederick and Lena Bell Davis, the 13th of 14th brothers and sisters, all which are now deceased. She relocated to Louisville, KY in 1947 and was then married to D.H. Slone.

She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, D.H. Slone and Arthur Morris; son Thomas Slone (Francis) of Colleyville, TX; and her granddaughter Kelley Smith (Robbie) of Jeffersonville, IN.

Edith is survived by her children Patti Montgomery (John) of Jeffersonville, IN., Wanda St.Charles (Jim) of Arcadia, IN., Donald Slone (Janette) of Sellersburg, IN.; grandchildren Scott Slone, Kelly Slone, Carrie Slone, Dawn Ritschell, Cindy Wyant and Holly O’Donnell, Amanda Kastner and many great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Friday, April 19, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at E.M. Coots’ Sons Funeral Home with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Southern Care Hospice Service New Albany or any charity of your choice.
