Glen Bell

Glen E. Bell, 60, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at his home in Sellersburg, Indiana. He was a loving husband with a heart of gold and dearly loved by our families and friends. Glen worked for Cadle Concrete and he loved his job as a cement mason, he left his mark everywhere. He was an avid fisherman and IU Basketball fan. Glen was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and a graduate of New Albany High School.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Kim Bell of Sellersburg, IN.; mother Beverly Bell; brother Gregory E. Bell; 3 sisters LuAnne Linter, Heather Bradley, and Beth Dean; 10 nieces & 2 nephews; 8 great-nieces & 2 great-nephews.

Glen was preceded in death by his father Glennard E. Bell.

Memorial service will be held Monday, June 3, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will be Monday from 2-6 p.m. all at E.M. Coots’ Sons Funeral Home.

    I love with you with all my heart. You are the best part of my life and I would do it all again with you. I tried to keep you with me, but GOD had a different plan for you, so I will share you with him. You are a good man who is dearly loved and missed by many.     Glen would come to see Kim at Jcpenney he would always shake my hand. I could be dressed to the nines or filthy dirty, it didnt matter he saw past all of that and always was kind and made me feel like part of their family Kim would get the biggest most beautiful bouquet of flowers for their anniversary or just because he thought about her. Kim is the same way she sees past how someone is dressed but makes them feel like part of her family. They complement each other in so many ways.Kim we are so sorry about Glen we love you so much and will never forget how yall made us feel all our love Travis, Denny and Charlie

    I am so sorry to hear about this. He was a very good man who always worked hard and loved hard. The love that Glen and Kim shared was beautiful and you saw that in just the way she talked about him or when he would come into Penneys....the way he would look at her. Stay strong Kim.... God loves you and Glen will always be with you...in your heart and soul.

    I first met Glen Earl and Kim 36 years ago, when I came to Indiana for a visit with.his brother Greg. We hung out with the both of them and had a great time. I later came back to Indiana to live, and this is where I got to know the both of them really well. I remember one late night my doorbell rang and I was frozen in fear. I immediately called Glen and Kim and they came quickly to my rescue. He surveyed the area and found no one loitering. These
    are the many fond memories I have of him. His undying love for his wife Kim is what everyone strives for in their relationships. Love, respect, honor, generosity and patience is what describes the relationship these 2 had and always will have. I love you and miss you dearly Glen. You are now our angel watching over us all. Soar high and fly well Glen!

    One day, a couple of weeks ago, I had my last conversation with Glen. Kim and I were trying to figure a way to move him from his bed to the Hosparus bed that had been brought into the house for him. I was leaning over him to try to move him and I paused to ask him if he knew who I was. He said you’re Bob and Bob, “I’m broken”. At that moment all I could think of was “Humpty Dumpty” and how were we gonna put Glen back together again. I sure wish I could have done more for him; but I guess it just wasn’t in God’s plan. Rest In Peace nephew. We love you!
