Marie E. Gentry, 96, passed away Monday, November 11, 2019 at Baptist Health Floyd. She was a lifelong member of Little Flock Baptist Church. Marie was a native of Jeffersonville, IN.

She is survived by her son Kevin (Robin) Gentry of New Albany, IN.; step-son David G. Powell of Jeffersonville, IN.; sister Claira Wright of Jeffersonville, IN.; grandchildren Kevan and Ariel Gentry.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband James J. Gentry; her parents Roy Jones and Katie B. Ford; brother Arthur Jones; sister Nora Lee Tyler.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 16, 2019, at 12:30 p.m. at Little Flock Baptist Church with burial to follow in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the church.

    Aunt Re! I used to love sitting with you when I was little to see and hear you when you would sing was breathtaking!!! I have so many memories of Little Flock and our family!! I will miss you and love you forever

    Just heard of the passing of your mother. So sorry to hear this. Prayers to you and your family in this time like this but always remember she is in a better place.
