Mervin Charles Jackson, Age 86

Mervin Charles Jackson, 86, passed away Monday, October 9, 2017 at his home.  He was a Machinist at Stimpson Computing Scale Co.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 35, a First Sergeant in the Army during the Korean War, and retired from the Army Reserve after over 30 years of service. 

He is survived by his wife Marie Taylor Jackson of Jeffersonville, IN.; his son Charles Lee Jackson and his wife Maureen of Spring Hill, FL.; his daughters Barbara Jean Zolg and her husband Jerry of St. Petersburg, FL and Linda Kay Jackson-Grattan of St. Petersburg, FL.; his sister Maryann Jackson Krebs Sellmer and her husband Robert of Jeffersonville, IN.; his step-sons David Worley of North Point, FL and Daniel Worley of Louisville, KY.; his step-daughter Louise Key and her husband Jerry of Mt. Washington, KY.; his grandchildren J.B. Smith, Amy Smith, Haley Grattan, Charlie Jackson, and Jessica Jackson.;  his step-granddaughters Beth Harp and Denise Reuss.; Along with 11 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Mervin Earl Jackson and Eula Jackson.  Along with his wives Patty Lou Jackson and Patricia Helen Jackson. 

Funeral service will be held Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at E.M. Coots’ Sons Funeral Home with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 11, 2017 from 4-8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.
