Sharon Lynn Chapman, 61, was called home by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 5, 2019.  She is survived by her loving husband, Marcus Chapman, of 40 years from Jeffersonville, IN; son Adam Chapman and his wife Julie of Jeffersonville, IN; daughter Amanda Blanton and her husband Jay of Jeffersonville, IN; grandchildren Sierra & Gabriel; along with several brothers and sisters.  She was a regular attendee of Northside Christian Church.

Sharon was a strong, hard-working, and selfless woman who enjoyed bringing happiness to others, spending time with her family, camping, working in her garden, cooking and baking.  To Marcus she was his rock, his partner in life, everything he could ever want or hope for in a wife. To Adam and Amanda, she was a loving, caring and supportive mother. To Sierra and Gabriel, she was an awesome ‘Grammy’/’Mom’ who always had the time and energy to spend with them.  She was so proud of her family and showed that with every word, every hug, and every thoughtful gesture.

‘Mom, your physical presence in our lives is so greatly missed. Until we are reunited in heaven, we hold on to and cherish all the wonderful memories you created for us. You knew how much you were loved by all, and we will honor you, with each passing day.’ – Your Loving Family

A private burial service will take place on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, IN.

Marcus and family, Sharon was my best friend for years, we practically grew up together in Church at Mt. Moriah and in school, we graduated together. To say the least we had a blast together in those days. Sharon would put together some gourmet lunch and we would drive to her house on lunch break from school to eat it. It seemed we were always doing something together, whether it was Church related or just because we wanted to. We recently reconnected through Facebook but I have not used that forum in quite a while. She was the greatest of friends. The news of her passing has both shocked and saddened me deeply. I will always remember her and her entire family with great fondness. May her foundation in Christ carry you through the days and months ahead and know that you will be in my prayers.
